Class Announcements
Birthdays
Birthdays are a very special time for each and every student.  Please let me know the week before your child's birthday if you are planning to send in a special treat for the class, this way I can schedule our time accordingly.
Math Facts
Please practice addition and subtraction facts at home daily!  It is important for children to memorize these facts.

Friday Folders
Each Friday your child will receive his/her folder which contains assignments completed during the week, as well as important notices.

Behavior for that week will also be noted.

Please take the papers out of the right pocket. Keep these papers at home. They will help you to see the skills we are working on in class.
Sign the paper on the left side of the folder. There is an area for any comments. This folder will help us to keep in contact with each other. Please return the signed folder on Monday.

 Back to School Tips
Easy Back to School Tips

* Set a kitchen timer and have your child do homework for that length of time. When the timer goes off, your child can get up and take a break. After homework is complete, reward with stickers, or other fun supplies.

*Label the inside left of your child's pocket folder "Return to Teacher" and label the inside right pocket "Leave at Home." Teach your child to distinguish between the two. No more lost papers!

*Since children often don't have a strict bedtime during the summer, about two weeks before school starts, have them go to bed a little earlier every night until they're back to their regular bedtime.

*Leave notes of encouragement and love in lunch boxes and books, between clothes in drawers, in shoes, and other places to delight your child.
